Greetings and welcome to the online home of Fuiano Design.

This site is here to provide a set of art and design samples produced mostly by me, Lou Fuiano. Based in Philadelphia, Fuiano Design has been a full service graphic design studio creating communication through words and images since 1990. However, my first job out of art school was in 1979, working for a commercial typographer. We did the mechanical art for custom type and logo fabrications. It was there that I learned to appreciate the visual impact of typographic form.

I currently maintain a full schedule of work from a wide variety of clients. Since publishing is where I started as a designer and art director, I tend to do a good deal of work for many area publishers. Most projects include text and trade book covers, editorial layout, illustration, and publication design.

I also have several years of experience across all marketing platforms - including corporate identity, print advertising, package design, posters, brochures & catalogs, and design for the screen.

Almost all of the projects come together electronically on a Macintosh using InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, JavaScript and Flash. However, none of this would be possible without the much needed help of vendors, printers, photographers, developers, free-lancers and of course, you, the client.
